"...sometimes veins are filled with matter which surrounds the living creatures caught en-masse, thus the marble slab is like a lake rippling with fish. Other times veins are innate ideas in the soul, like folded figures or potential statuary contained in rough, uncut marble."
From The Fold.

RECESSES - 47 x 27,6 inches - Photography, herbs, varnish - 5 examples Q. Is this universe made of fruit and vegetables?
A. It's a fresh way of observing familiar things: a way of seeing which transforms microscosm into macrocosm.
Q. Since their rough textures resemble the surfaces of the Moon or the planet Mars; can we take this to mean your asteroids exist too ?
A. One may compare esthetic matter without having to specify whether these are apples or lemons.
Q. Fruit rots but planets are not organic; can one assimilate their destinies?
A. Asteroids die too: both planets and fruit have life spans but these differ by milliards of years.

ASTEROIDS - Photography - 15 examples - 10x8 inches Different forms of existential sentiment inhabit the no man's land of my memory. Attempts to classify them are not guided by chronological concerns but according to affective and emotional order.
I'll remember something and with it comes the desire to build a Memory Catalogue. I make an inventory of vital moments by imprinting their marks in space and time: this method produces what I call an intimate topography, a map detailing sensitivities and experiences in high relief.
Archaeologist discovers fossils and imprints in different geological strata; so too, successive layers of resin render my photographic traces of the human body in both their entirety and in parts; the folds of flesh anticipating continuity; evoking correspondences. Installed side by side in their transparent coatings they could be communing with each other.
